Welcome: Home Parents Page Curriculum
Welcome to the curriculum section of our website. For each year group you will find the combined unit plan for each half term. We have found our children learn better when subjects are linked together, so history, geography, ICT, art, DT and, where appropriate, science are combined together. We also aim to provide children with opportunities to apply the writing genres they are covering in literacy in these plans. Along with these are copies of the curriculum letters which each class teacher sends out to parents and carers each half term. These outline the areas being covered in literacy, numeracy, P. E. and R. E.
All Foundation Stage and Key Stage One children also follow the Letters and Sounds scheme to develop their phonic skills.
Our reading scheme is a collection of books which are colour banded and include a variety of genres. A good proportion of our book for Foundation stage and Key Stage one children are Oxford Reading tree but we have added other books to ensure a broad level of interest for all the children.

2015-16 Parent / Carer Questionnaire Feedback.....
This school is exceptional. Every member of staff values, and generously cares, for each child. Each child is treated as an individual and their individual needs are supported and nurtured in an environment that inspires self confidence, determination and self esteem. Values of kindness, care and sympathy are strongly taught, both in theory and practice, this produces a happy, healthy school of which the children and staff are quite rightly proud.
This year Miss Birmingham has consistently gone above and beyond, words cannot describe the attention, care and sincere dedication she has put in to help our daughter grow in every single way. This has always been a hundred percent supported by Mrs. Hayes, Miss Robinson, Mr. Roscoe and Mrs. Butcher.
Thank you doesn't seem enough, you have worked magic and it means the world to us as a family. Our daughter absolutely loves school, and that is an absolute credit to you.
